Bethlehem, PA:  The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks have been busy the last couple of weeks, making the first signings of the PIFL offseason. In the last two weeks, the Steelhawks have signed eleven additional young men to their preseason roster. Most notable was the addition of Adam Bednarik, a local product that played at Bethlehem Catholic High School and was Quarterback for the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Steelhawks also signed IFL veterans – DL Wesley Smith, a graduate of Gannon University, DB David Castillofrom Bloomsburg University, DL Andre Starks of Missouri Valley College, and DL/TE Victor Sesay from the University of Missouri.  All were late additions to the Steelhawk roster last year. QB Tim Bailey has signed his Steelhawk contract as well after playing in the IFL for the Reading Express and Nebraska Danger last season. Also a former Nebraska Danger player, K George Pierson has been added to the 2013 training camp squad.

Other signees are LB Greg Underwood (5’11, 200, Fairmont St.), DL Larry Ford (6’3, 255, West Virginia), DL Elisee Pompilus (6’3, 262, Union College), WR Thomas Gilson (6’2, 204, U Mass), DB Joshua Copeland (6’1, 215, Buffalo), and LB Brandon Roundtree (6’2, 211, Hampton).
