November 17th, 7:30-11:00am at Iron Lakes Sports Complex Bethlehem, PA: The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks professional indoor football team will be holding their first PIFL open tryout for the 2013 season on November 17th at Iron Lakes Sports Complex, the official practice facility for the Steelhawks. Located at 3625 Shankweiler Road, Allentown, PA. Registration and check in begins at 7:30am, with player evaluations will begin at 8am. Cost includes evaluation, drills, and testing by the Steelhawks Professional Coaching Staff, a Steelhawks t-shirt, and 1 ticket voucher to a 2013 game. On line registration is now available for a cost of $50, at the Steelhawks website, www.lvsteelhawks.com. Cost to register the day of is $60. If any player is staying overnight and needs a hotel room, they may contact the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks Hotel Partner, Comfort Suites in Allentown and ask for the Steelhawks rate of $69. The PIFL (www.proifl.com) is a seven team league with franchises in six states. The league holds a 12-game regular season schedule that runs March through June. The PIFL’s playoffs culminate in late June with the PIFL Championship Cup.
