SAM WASHINGTON AND WES TUNUUFI SAUVAO ARE ADDED TO ROSTER

Bethlehem, PA:  The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks have added two more to their 2012 roster.  Defensive players Sam Washington (defensive lineman/linebacker) and Wes Tunuufi Sauvao (defensive lineman) have both signed contracts for this year’s Steelhawks.  They add reinforcement to the Steelhawks defensive front

Washington comes out of Jackson State University where in three seasons (missed a season due to injury) he had 137 career tackles (67 solo, 70 assists), including 29 tackles for a loss.  He also had 14 sacks and forced 8 fumbles.  Washington brings size and speed to the defensive side of the ball for the Steelhawks.

Tunuufi Sauvao joins the Steelhawks from the University of Central Florida.  He recorded 32 total tackles, 16 solo.  He had a break out senior season in which he made 25 tackles and 2.5 sacks.  He provides great size and strength to the defensive line.

The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks last open tryout before the start of the 2012 season is on January 21^st at BucksMont Indoor Sports Complex.  Stay tuned as the Steelhawks continue to add talent for the 2012 season!
